. SPS Commerce Experiences 92 Percent Growth in China During H1 2009
Minneapolis, Minn., July 27, 2009 – SPS Commerce, the leading Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) trading partner integration center provider, today announced that in the first half of 2009 it has experienced 92 percent growth in revenue from its operations in China compared to the same time period in 2008. The company works with more than 37,000 North American retailers and suppliers, most of whom are using manufacturing facilities throughout Asia. Using SPS’ hosted integration services, suppliers can send and receive order and shipment information with their 3PLs, sourcing companies, factories and other trading partners with ease.
“In today’s global marketplace, it is no longer news to hear of American business being transferred to Asia,” commented Archie Black, President and CEO of SPS Commerce. “While the manufacturing costs are less, companies are experiencing a greater need to integrate and improve communications with their overseas partners. Unfortunately, cost and staffing requirements have prevented most factories and sites from implementing integration software to better connect with their customers. SPS’ completely outsourced, SaaS solutions overcomes these barriers and is replacing the fax, email and manual methods used to transfer business information with an automated, accessible and affordable solution.”
SPSCommerce.net is an easily deployable integration service that requires only an Internet browser or web-based API, no onsite technology or expertise is required. Using SPS’ Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) service, Asian trading partners can ensure that each site and factory receive timely and accurate order information to make manufacturing more productive. Factories also receive barcode labels that can be printed onsite for more immediate shipment. Visibility is dramatically improved as these trading partners can send and receive EDI transactions including the Advance Ship Notice (ASN) to their North American partners, via SPS’ SaaS EDI service, providing the detailed shipping information they require.
“Virtually every supply chain includes one or more trading partners in Asia,” commented Xuechen Kou, Director, Enablement and Support at SPS Commerce Asia. “Our staff is well-trained to support the needs of SPS’ North American customers improve their supply chain visibility by providing accessible technology to factories and sites throughout Asia to improve the speed and accuracy of the fulfillment process. Integration is helping these partnerships across the ocean to become more reliable and profitable for all.”
